Some say it with flowers, let's say it with shoes
Summer holiday seem like they happened a while ago, we are now fully back at school or work steaming ahead and rocking the routine. Now is the time to think about what to wear. This season's trends are varied and give us plenty to play with:
- The blouse is back
- Old classic black and white
- the floral/folk dress mid and long length
- Animal prints are also back with a roar
- Leather mini skirt
- check shirts, skirts and dresses
- The ankle boots
But what I see everywhere and in countless adverts is RED, RED and more RED. So ladies dig out your Chinese New Year dress or go and get yourself some red piece as it seems it is all the rage this season. Get a red blouse or skirt or red shoes, they are everywhere and for those who do not own one, it is high time that you added a LRD (Little red dress) next to that coveted LBD in your closets. The nice thing about all these different trends is that most of them marry well together. All the shops here in Singapore carry them and they will suit any budget. But please, please try to avoid red and animal print together as you can easily make a fashion 'faux pas' unless of course you Louboutin it.
The only hard thing to wear will be fur as even with the best of will, you just can not Lah, wear fur in SG, not even in malls or indoor restaurants. Should you still crave for a fur piece, do not forget to also invest in a plane ticket for cooler destination or you can treat yourself with the ultimate fur accessory the Fendi bag bug or the Karl pompon keyring.
Last but not least ankle boots, they are very but very pretty, I am personnally in love with the whole Valentino rockstud collection. But ladies with kankles like me should be careful and go for shorter versions like the Anine Bing Ermeline or Lou boots as they expose the ankles instead of covering and compressing them. It will give that extra length and will make your legs look slimmer.
